Sumo fans in Alberta now have a place to train, thanks to the opening of the Prairie Sumo Club in Edmonton. The club is run by JJ Brunton, an amateur wrestler and co-host of the Salt City Sumo Youtube channel. JJ also participated in the 2024 edition of the Rollertown Showdown amateur sumo tournament in Celina, Texas! Sumo Canada is looking forward to working with JJ to grow the sport in Alberta.
